Your Slight Edge To Success

By dusty7969

At some point, you'll almost inevitably have a moment of true clarity and realize that your life isn't quite where you want it to be.  It might come in your early 20's or as late as your 50's or 60's, but it will almost certainly happen.  Some series of events that occurs will lead you to this conclusion.  You probably won't consciously know how you got there, but you'll realize you're unhappy with how your life is going.  The Slight Edge, a book written by Jeff Olson, will help you understand how you arrived at that unhappy point, and how you can move beyond it in a more positive direction.

In order to move forward you'll need to understand exactly what you've been doing wrong.  Everyone makes mistakes, but most people, unfortunately, tend to continue making the same ones over and over again.  They repeat the same errors because they haven't been enlightened.

You might have stumbled upon the Slight Edge purely accident, but it doesn't matter how you find it.  What matters is that you do.
People who enjoy "the Slight Edge" in life are able to achieve some truly monumental things.  One of the things standing in your way is probably your "breakthrough mentality."   Do you berate yourself whenever you fail to finish everything exactly on time?  Yes, many people seem to achieve success almost overnight.  But many of those people were born wealthy, and they never had to lift a finger in order to be successful.

The Slight Edge, is written for people who were not born into wealthy families.  It's also written for people who continue to fail to achieve their goals over and over again.  Think about some of the most successful people you know.  Look at how they act - they probably seem happy and secure.  Now, think about what they had to do in order to get into that good position.

The journey is the most important part of achieving success.  It's not all about actually achieving wealth, happiness and success.  Instead, how you get there and the steps you take to make it happen are also important.  Once you think a bit about some of the people you know who seem to have everything they want, you might realize that those people had to work to get into that position.  In fact, it probably took them years to get where they are today.  Instead of becoming discouraged, they kept pushing forward, toward a brighter future.

The Slight Edge book, by Jeff Olson, teaches that if you try just a little harder than you ever have before, you too can be someone who has all they want.  It won't happen right away, but it will happen eventually.  Persistence is one of the secret keys to achieving your goals.  You can't give up and call it quits just because you're having a bad day.  You won't get anywhere that that kind of attitude.  It's perfectly okay to take a day off every so often, as long as those days off don't keep adding up.  Take too many days away from trying to accomplish your goals, and you'll lose all the progress you've made.  You'll end up back at square one.

The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson, will teach you how to stay on track and know that it's perfectly fine to take an occasional day off.  You'll discover the reasons for being at the point where you are, and you'll gain the knowledge you need to move easily from point A to point B.
