Answer:

People are fascinating with rainbows, and they are indeed beautiful natural phenomena, no question about it.

But have you ever wondered what the meaning of the rainbow colors is?

First of all maybe you have noticed that there are seven colors in total:

red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Seven is a magical number. It has mystical connotations. As a sum of Four and Three, Seven represents the totality of our existence on this planet. The number Four represents the material sphere (i.e., four cardinal directions), while the number Three the spiritual sphere (i.e., the Trinity of God).

There is also 7 spiritual rays, 7 musical notes, 7 days of the week, 7 deadly sins, 7 chakras, 7 dwarfs from "The snow white and the seven dwarfs", and many other examples.

The Bible mentions the colors of the rainbow in the story about the Noah's Ark. There, the rainbow colors signify the Power and Glory of God.

In the Genesis, the rainbow was described as being a sign of the Mercy of God.

In Ezekiel, the colors of the rainbow are the reflection of the God's glory.



Here are the Color Meanings:

Today we know that each color represent a special frequency range in the visible light spectrum, and carry a specific energy. They also affect our health, our mood, and even our personality.

Based on knowledge from color therapy, we can associate each of the colors of the Rainbow with some particular qualities:

1. Red Red is color of lowest vibration and longest wave-length. It is a warm color, and this is no surprise, as it approaches the invisible infra-red frequencies that are known to transfer heat. Red is also the color of the root chakra. Red also means having vitality, passion, grounding and security.

2. Orange This color has a portion of red and yellow in it. This dynamic color signifies practicality, creativity, and personality. It is associated with the spleen chakra.

3. Yellow This color represent the sun. It is the color of the solar plexus, and of the corresponding chakra. Yellow brings wisdom, personal power, clarity, determination, and energy.

4. Green This color is the point of balance in the rainbow. Associated with the heart chakra, it represents balance, love, growth, perfect health and abundance.

5. Blue Blue is the color of the sky and ocean. It is a calm color that brings peace. It represent higher spirituality, communication, devotion, and freedom. It is connected to the fifth throat chakra.

6. Indigo This is the color of the third eye. Indigo promotes increased levels of consciousness, higher spirituality, psychic abilities, intuition and enlightenment.

7. Violet Violet is color of highest frequency among the visible part of the spectrum. It is also of shortest wave-length. As a blend of of red and blue, it promotes higher levels of enlightenment.

We can also consider the Archangel Colors:

Yet another association can be established between the color of the rainbow and the Seven Great Archangels.

The Seven Archangels are:

Archangel Michael, the highest Archangel of the Blue ray of light, Archangel Jophiel, the highest Archangel of the Yellow ray of light, Archangel Chamuel, the highest Archangel of the Pink ray of light, Archangel Gabriel, the highest Archangel of the White ray of light, Archangel Raphael, the highest Archangel of the Green ray of light, Archangel Uriel, the highest Archangel of the Ruby-red ray of light, and Archangel Zadkeil, the highest Archangel of the Violet ray of light,
